President's Corner

Now, as our last meeting of the year is  approaching, the time has come to say "good bye" for the summer. I have thoroughly enjoyed all my wonderful experiences this year, and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with everyone, as well as with such a great Executive Board.  Thank you for the support, guidance and encouragement you have provided me during my time as your president.  To each and every member, I will always be grateful that you have touched my life in so many wonderful ways.  It has been a pleasure making LLL an inviting place, where friendship and "living in our community" are celebrated, cherished, and honored.

We are all grateful for the overwhelming success achieved by the Lantana Ladies League, and I am especially grateful to the women who have spent countless hours making it the best year.  The League is now 180 members strong.  It is your energy, your passion, and your strength that is behind our success.

"Hats are off" to our 2nd annual golf classic committee.  In spite of our dubious economy, the golf committee did an outstanding job in raising money.  I am sure that our recipients this year, the Children's Advocacy Center,  E.P. Rayzor, Blanton, and Harpool schools, will put the money to good use.  We will be making our charitable donations know at our May meeting.  Be sure to join us for this celebration!!

To our special interest groups that continues to meet over the summer, keep the torch glowing!!

See you on May 19th at Palermo's at 630 pm.

I thank you all, and for all your smiles,

With abiding gratitude,
Joni Carlton
President
